OnionChat is in beta — this page is a placeholder and will be updated as the service develops.

Privacy Policy

OnionChat stores as little as possible. Your account (username and a bcrypt-hashed password) is kept so you can log back in. Chat messages, join/leave notices, and who's currently online are only ever broadcast live between connected users — none of it is written to a database or disk, and there is no chat history to look back on.

We don't sell, share, or use your data for advertising. Standard web server logs (e.g. IP addresses, timestamps) may be kept temporarily for security and abuse prevention.

Terms and Conditions

By using OnionChat, you agree to:

• Not use the service for illegal activity, harassment, or sharing content that violates others' rights.
• Not attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the service.
• Understand this is a beta service — features may change, break, or be removed without notice, and uptime isn't guaranteed.

Accounts and access may be suspended or removed at our discretion, particularly in cases of abuse.
